    Q) i've been wondering, after fusion, is there still a slim chance your brain can revert to old coping methods and split again if you go through something traumatic?

    Oh my gosh hi! I was so excited when this popped up in my for you page. I checked the date thinking it was an old one I had missed. 😅 I love your videos so much and am so excited to watch this one. Your channel was the first time I had ever been introduced to DID and then later OSDD and I can not thank you enough. I remember being so disappointed when I realized I probably wouldn’t be getting anymore videos. Needless to say I am excited to watch this and I wish you the best!❤

    This was such a well-explained video. As a teacher, I especially enjoyed the "quiz" section at the end. Plus knowing about this is great for me as well as I now can understand stress in my daily life better and how it correlates with my mood. I have luckily never had to deal with mental health issues myself but am so immensely grateful for the information you provide as I have friends who have struggled with depression in the past. Thank you for you educating content. I am really, really glad to see you still happy and healthy! ❤ Love from Germany

    Oh my gosh, when he's comparing the types of traumas with the bombing vs critical, emotionally unavailable parents, I felt validated. I cant express how many times in the past I've compared others "real trauma" to my "minor problems" and just undermine myself. "There's always someone who has it worse", right?

    Your channel really helped me a lot when I discovered I was a system. I've since been diagnosed and have had such great therapy, that I consider myself "in remission". I don't conceptualize DID as something that goes away, but as something that can go dormant, so to speak. Anyway, yes! Please! It's so difficult to find genuine channels talking about this subject in a way that's helpful and hopeful. Please share more videos!

    Could you do a video on how to expand it? I've had EMDR for trauma/BPD, to try to expand my window of tolerance (I flip flop between the two) but be useful if you know any techniques as I just had a huge meltdown/episode and feeling a bit at square one again now

    • @TheUhaya
      @TheUhaya 3 дні тому

      EMDR is a rather controversial method. I've ended up having a not very good experience with it and researched a lot about it (finally putting my degree to use, lol). Desensitization helps, but eye movement - not so much. Sorry if it's not helpful, just trying to warn people that EMDR isn't as scientifically proven as some people paint it to be.

    YAY YOURE BACK! And YOURE STILL HEALED!!!❤❤❤❤ I got scared for a second that you had split or something so IM SO HAPPY THAT YOURE DOING GOOD!!! Only watched half the video but the pink is hard to see, I’d love if you made this like a PowerPoint in the background and pointed things out instead. It would be easier to follow. HOWEVERRRRR you have such a clear voice that it’s easy to follow what you’re saying and what you mean. Also, video idea: why do we have emotions? What purpose does anger, shame, joy etc serve, why are these feelings still here, and why is it OKAY TO FEEL?? I have some papers somewhere at home from therapy that explains if you want them. I feel like going through our basic emotions and why they exist etc would be helpful for trauma survivors so we can expand our windows of tolerance. Anyways, I’m so happy to see you Jess, I hope you and your family are thriving and this is such a GOOD video!

    We never expected to see another video, very happy to have such an excellent one at that! You were the first DID UA-camr we found who helped us start understanding our mental health and discover our system, so thank you ❤ Window of Tolerance is something our therapists have taken time to help us understand. We've been trying to help our dad learn about mental health and we've not had good examples - he needs logical, simple, straightforward information without jargon or slang (surprisingly common for Dr Mike to use clinical terminology). We're going to show him this video and see how it goes. Also, we would say that considering your reach, making more videos like this would be great. You've got the experience of being a creator. You've got lots of experience and knowledge through your work, and you're great at explaining things in simple ways that anybody can understand. Mike does a great job, and so do you, but you do things differently and could cover different ground if you wanted. ❤🎉 Self love. Self care. Compassion. ❤🎉
